A Little More Arathi…

Not much PvP last night, as my Internet connection was lousy. Plus, there was a hockey game on. Can’t miss my Canucks during the playoffs! Anyway, I noticed something today while I was training my ravager at Nagrand (now at loyalty level 5). I had taken my multi-shot off my action bar, mostly due to a complaint from a raid member at Arathi. It seems I had broken a freeze trap because I used multi-shot, which is most definitely a bad mistake. But so is giving up the multi-shot altogether. It gives me the highest damage and the highest chance of a critical hit, which also allows me a Kill Command for my pet to do major damage. That is a lot to give up just to avoid breaking the occassional trap. I had dropped significantly on the battleground list in kill shots and total damage done. So now it is back on my action bar, but I will just have to be careful where and when I use it. And others will have to be a bit more forgiving if I accidentally break a trap. Because chances are, I will be killing something else anyway.

WoW Gold Guide: How I Made 100,000 Gold

WoW Gold Guide: How I Made 100,000 Gold A player by the name of Kunzite recently submitted to us that he had released his gold-making guide, subtitled “How I Made 100,000 Gold.” With a title like that, I had to check it out, and it has some very interesting tips in it. It is extremely long, which makes it all the more surprising that it’s free. A lot of the tips are along the lines of playing the auction house, but there are also some helpful introductions to concepts like opportunity cost (a vital thing to wrap your head around in WoW), and detailed lists of what crafts you can turn a profit in (if only by disenchanting them), and so on. I know I’ll be coming back to this site – I haven’t read it all yet, but it is a very nice resource, and who couldn’t use a little more gold? I’ve already implemented one of his suggestions and found it to be quite lucrative: farming for Fel Armaments and Marks of Sargeras from warlocks at Legion Hold. My previous go-to gold-making strategy (fishing in Nagrand) was getting me 200-300g an hour typically; Legion Hold would be more like 400g if I sold everything, and I need the Aldor rep anyway (so

Lockwood’s Colbert graphic

“If I had a title for this work, it would be ‘I am Captain America (and so can you!)’” quipped Lockwood, an avid reader of the works of mythologist Joseph Campbell and – you guessed it – a big fan of The Colbert Report. When I asked about the the eagle claw and arrows rising from the microphone, Lockwood says he was looking for something that was peculiarly American and also ripe with “truthiness.” He found inspiration on the dollar bill. “It’s the eagle clutching the olive leaf in one set of talons and arrows in the other,” he points out.The six in the upper left corner of the trading card represents the “play cost.” The play cost is how many resources a gamer must use to play the card and, in this particular game, six is a LOT. Stefen Colbear is a “Human Paladin,” one race of several in the fantasy – orc, trolls, night elves etc. The symbol in the upper right hand corner indicates that Colbear is part of the Alliance faction, one of two in the WoW universe battling for world domination.

Lord of the Rings

” World of Warcraft has been a blessing wow gold the genre wow gold has opened up massively multiplayer gaming for millions of people all around the world,” said Erling Ellingsen, product manager at Conan developer Funcom. There is also a substantial new update due for Lord of the Rings Online, which was originally released in 2007 and has quietly built a decent reputation – even if the subscriber numbers are dwarfed by WoW . The consoles will also provide some belated competition when NCsoft launches its MMO title for the PS3 in 2009.Publicly, at least, most of the competitors see wow gold as a positive for the market. But while the market currently remains dominated by swords and sorcery the real growth is likely to be in less fantastical settings. “I expect The Agency (spies), All Points Bulletin (crime) and Lego Universe to do really, really well,” says Eurogamer.net’s Welsh. And Blizzard itself is magnanimous: “Rather than look at the new wave of titles as competitors, we see them as games that will further broaden the overall appeal of online gaming – and we’re looking forward to playing them too,” said Brack.”The
